HUMANS: CONDEMN OR CONTEMPT, they never change

Updated: Jun 22

Martin Luther King argued, “Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well being of a person or animal is at stake.” These statements from the staunching personality need to be inculcated in the minds of the entire civilization.

Violation of Animal Rights

Violation of Animal rights, in Kerala, a state considered to be 100% literate, on 2nd June 2020 have caught the attention of social activist and animal enthusiasts all around the globe because of a tragic incident which led to the death of a pregnant elephant by the localities’ who seem to be insensitive towards sanity.

Being a member of the Universal Declaration on Animal Warfare, which focuses on reducing the suffering of the meek and helpless animals, India is bound to have repercussions in the International forum.

As Dr Albert Schweitzer, a renowned humanitarian said

“Anyone who has accustomed himself to regard the life of any living creature as worthless is in danger of arriving also at the idea of worthless human lives.”

Conflicts

This traumatizing episode has not only radiated a lot of contrasting views, sabotaging the corny sentiments and self-effacing opine of the entire scenario but also questioned the cultural regimes of several places around the globe. To no one’s surprise, the country treasuring 1.3 billion population has always been a victim of animal cruelty throughout history.

While protests from all over the country are proceeding in mere silence amidst the pandemic, there have been a lot of conflicts on the ideologies of people based on culture, cruelty, and eating conscience. A large percentage of our population believes in restoring the vegan culture from ancient times, to which a few contradict on the food chain analysis.

Different viewpoints

Entranced from the situation, sometimes this surreal resolve of the entire constructive criticism comes to halt when these critics start to restrict themselves with a single point of view form a blind approach towards other perspectives.

Viewing things from 4-5 dimensions, sometimes provide a clear objective. The food chain exists for the entire biosphere, be it plants or animals. We humans, designated omnivores are in complete synchronicity to the biological organization structure, but the entire thought process takes a 180-degree scenario when it is used to harass or create un-natural cataclysmic thespian.

Conclusion

Every thesis on this topic will be considered as vague as long as the cruelty on the domestic as well as the wild animals is not brought to an end. The only theory that works for all the universal beings is the act of kindness which doesn’t tell us to not be what we intrinsically are built of but to empathize and make mother earth a better place to live in. Personal choices should never be mixed with cultural norms. As long as the act of humility stays within one-self, the entire peace and harmony of nature’s chain of command are justified.
