WFH LIKE A PRO

Right?

Well yes!

We all are in the midst of COVID-19, which has pushed companies from all over the world to opt for WFH to maintain social distancing and depreciate the spread of corona virus.

"Everything looks comprehensive until we dive deep into it"

All our life we always craved comfort with opulence.

Working on a cozy bed, with your favorite meal, and watching favorite shows concurrently was a fantasy for many.

But we never imagined the challenges WFH would bring with it!

Due to this pandemic, many things have unfolded their truth and realization have fallen into our attention.

WFH has got us to face many challenging intricacies that might shoot hard on our obligations, social life, satisfaction, potency, communication network, and above all one's mental well-being.

The very Isolation everyone hoped for is now a peril to everyone's life!

Health, associations, work, and overall mutual stability are on a thin pin and are quite challenging for people especially the ones with fewer resources.

For the individuals who are already settled and are pleasantly living their lives with the smooth running of their work and personal life.

well and good!

but if you are someone for whom this situation is like a hard mass on the shoulder then lets plunge right into the top 10 ways you can kick-start your WFH abilities like a pro!

MAKE A COPY OF YOUR WORKPLACE
A PROPER SITTING ARRANGEMENT

Your surroundings have a considerable amount of impact on the quality of your work. Normally in offices, the professional decorum is maintained, unlike your house.

So the first thing on the list that you have to follow is to duplicate your workplace at home and make sure that it is properly managed and with aesthetics that gives off working vibes. Get yourself a clean and enough spaced room. Arrange for a study table and a good comfortable chair. Put up sticky notes on the sidewalls and hang a good wallpaper to add more to the professional look (it will also help you to look professional in video meetings etc).

STAY ORGANIZED

Everything scattered here and there will lower your spirits.

Cleaning it will be a constant tension throbbing in the back of your head. So start organizing from the beginning. Make pockets or boxes for each accessory you require for e.g. writing pens, papers, stapler, files etc.

If you are married, distribute the work evenly with your other significant one. Take turns on babysitting tasks and make sure you follow it sincerely. A healthy conversation and decided work distribution will go a long way for your both professional and personal life.

SETTING GOALS

At home, you are your own boss!

So take out 30 mins from your schedule and write down all your to-do tasks and at the end of the day go through it once again and tick the ones you achieved, Examining and documenting the work will make it easy for you to stay in the workflow.

A disorganized or unplanned work will constantly keep you under the black cloud.

Also, it's necessary to add breaks in between, working at a long stretch will burn you out. Don't exhaust yourself it will lower your productivity drastically.

In the end QUALITY MATTERS, not the QUANTITY.

EXPERTISE IN TECHNOLOGY

Learn about all the available resources to increase your yield. Google meet, Microsoft teams, zoom are some applications that will very well facilitate your video calls, meetings, etc.

Communicate with your IT team if you need any help. Set up a good wifi for uninterrupted work, if needed set up a VPN.

Don't do hard work, think out of the box!

THINK LIKE AN ENTREPRENEUR

Think like an entrepreneur.

Why? Because,

This pandemic has transformed every course of our lives-both as an individual and a community.

for example, India shows a tremendous downturn in its economy with a shocker of -23.9% GDP.

In such tight situations, practically every company is facing a financial crisis. So to keep your company from drowning. Work collectively and stay connected. Be a worthy part of the organisation!

The way you look at your commitments and responsibilities will define how long you and your company will survive.

Not just for your company but also for your personal growth, thinking like an entrepreneur will drive you to think creatively!

ACCEPT DISTURBANCES
hey there!

Apart from External uneasiness, WFH is super convenient and tolerable.

Accepting the cons WFH brings with it is important.

  1. The daily chores

  2. Kids

  3. Doorbells

  4. Guests (in case)

  5. TV/radio

  6. Neighbors etc

Few of the above things can be controlled but some we can't, so focusing and investing time in enhancing your concentration and improving your scheduling routine to manage everything is more advisable.

STAY FIT

Compromising on your health and immunity because of workload is like manufacturing a Lamborghini and fixing a pathetic quality of engine in it.

Great if you understand what I mean.

Stay fit and in sound health to enjoy the real satisfaction of being productive.

Workout daily for at least 45 min and engage yourself in activities that can boost your mood like meditation and yoga.

Go for a nice walk or set up a running routine to improve your stamina.

SET YOUR LIMITS

Yes!

This lock-down has offered us all the time in the world. Spending quality time with your family is equally important.

Mandatorily take a day off from your work, try not to open any emails, or do anything related to your profession.

Play board games, watch movies, or engage yourself in activities that will help to fasten your relationships with your family.

Have occasional dinner setups, find time to cook something great for your children.

In simple words find ways to spend more time together.

keep the blueness faraway by staying connected to your friends and your social fam.

FIND WAY TO BRING IN POSITIVITY
"you will not magically become SUPER-PRODUCTIVE ON DAY ONE"

Read that again,

Work for it, and slowly, and gradually you'll build a good work cycle.

Good things take time to happen!

Plan your day, finish off all the difficult tasks in the morning, and keep the easier ones for later.

Find ways to boost your spirits while working. Some of us might love to listen to melodies while working.

If yes, then create a good playlist of songs that will help you to concentrate better.

Also, make sure you don't stress over delayed work.

Avoid procrastination and stacking the load on your shoulders from the very start. This will minimize your workload.

Staying happy is the core solution to heighten productivity.

BE THE RELIABLE WORKER

I can understand very well that WFH is no joke,

Distractions, temptations, Lack of interest and motivation, and other such factors will very easily bring you down.

Keep in your mind that you are an earning member!

So if you don't work as per the company's requirement you might face trouble in the future so try to face and avoid your distractions.

It's our fate that we are facing this global pandemic situation so grab all you have in you and get ready to fight!

Make a proper calendar and write down all your deadlines and tasks to be submitted and try your best to complete all of it before the deadline.

That's it!

In the last remember you are more important than anything so if you think you are trapped in the knots of loneliness and depression then don't hesitate to reach out!

Like I said

STAYING HAPPY SHOULD BE YOUR TOP PRIORITY!
